Add page numbers to a PDF

Page numbers make long documents easier to discuss and print. You can add them without uploading the file.

1. Open Page numbers

Choose your PDF. It opens on your device and nothing is sent anywhere.

2. Pick position and style

Choose where the number sits, for example bottom centre or top right, and set the number to start from. You can skip the cover page.

3. Save and check

Download the numbered copy and flip through it once to make sure the numbers don't cover any text.

Need more than a number?

Header & footer adds your own text, the date or the file name as well. For legal bundles, Bates numbering adds a prefix and zero padding.

Questions
