No cookies
The site sets no cookies, and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. That’s why there is no cookie banner.
What is stored on your device
Some tools need a large one-time download, such as text recognition data, image models or Chinese, Japanese and Korean fonts. On phones with little memory or data, the site asks first. Once downloaded, our service worker keeps these files in your browser’s cache (Cache Storage, named “pdfmerci-heavy”) so you don’t pay to download them again. They are program files only: your documents are never stored there.
To remove them, clear this site’s data in your browser settings (often under Privacy › Site data). Tools still work afterwards; they will just download again when needed.
Server tools and the bot check
Server tools are switched off today. When they are on, uploading a file runs a Cloudflare Turnstile bot check, loaded from Cloudflare only on that step. Cloudflare describes what Turnstile collects in its own privacy documents. Whether it stores anything on your device, and the exact wording here: UNKNOWN: to be confirmed in legal review.
